Today was interesting. First I became a phlebotomist (sp?) today which was kind of interesting. I enjoyed doing it actually. I was therefore pretty busy most of the day because a lot of people have to have blood drawn. We saw over 200 patients today which was similar to yesterday.
I walked back to the childrens center today to go to the bathroom and a little boy fell in front of me. He had a big head laceration (too big to let go). I was going to sew it up until we found out that center has insurance for the kids that come there and therefore he went to the clinic. I felt so bad for him.
More later since I have to go to dinner.......

We are participating in the 2010 Vietnam Aid Expedition. Jeremy and Rose are both from Vietnam and this is their first time back to their home country. This is a very important cause for all of us because we are learning how to give back to people that do not have the opportunities that we are lucky enough to have. GOALS OF THE 2010 AID EXPEDITION
MEDICAL TEAM (JANET) ---The medical team will work to help with several aspects of health--prevention and treatment. The clinic literally sees hundreds of patients (both adults and children) while we are there. Dental issues and preventative care will also be addressed
SCHOOL TEAM (ROSE AND JEREMY)---The school team will help with restocking the library and working on the playground as well as distributing donations to the families.
